Permawick Corporation offers a complete line of lubricating oils designed to provide the ultimate in reducing friction, maximizing life, and virtually eliminating vibration and noise. Permawick oils are technologically advanced mineral or synthetic lubricants blended with synergistic additives to maintain high film strength under the most adverse conditions.
Fluid Reservoir Materials (1)
The product PermaWick is a blend of engineered fibers that creates a fluid storing media capable of being injected into any size or shape reservoir. PermaWick fibers are engineered to a specified release rate, which stores then delivers fluids for their intended use without starving or flooding the application. PermaWick fiber reservoirs can be impregnated with oils, fuels, inks, pharmaceuticals, and scents to name a few.
Fluid Reservoir Materials (2)
An additional type of fluid reservoir is our line of PermaGel products. PermaGel reservoirs replace fibers found in PermaWick with a gel based storage and delivery system. PermaGel applications are most often associated with the engineered release of lubricating oil in bearing applications. Note: the PermaGel material is in contact with the OD of the bearing.
Specialty greases are sometime used in conjunction with other Permawick lubricants. Our PermaGrease is designed for use on gear trains, rail lubrication, and rotating shafts.
Integrated Lubrication Systems
Permawick lubrication "Systems" or PLS are typically comprised of a bearing, bearing oils, oil reservoir material, transfer wicks, metal and plastic components. A PLS can function as a single assembly or as a sub-component of a larger assembly. Most importantly, they are permanently lubricated. PLS markets include the transportation, food service, exercise equipment, office equipment, outdoor power equipment, electric motor and home appliances to name a few.
Designed for use in all rotary devices, the Permawick Bearing Cartridge is the first of its kind. The self-contained component combines the quality and the performance of a ball bearing with the economy of a sleeve bearing.
